For sale is an original Petri 3-spoke sports steering wheel for classic BMW models from the late 1960s and 1970s. It is a sought-after collectible in honest, unmodified original condition. Feature (original version): Unlike later accessory variants, this is the rare original with closed spokes and the characteristic longitudinal grooves (ribs) instead of holes. The steering wheel has the large diameter of 40 cm (400 mm). The hub is modularly screwed onto the original 3-hole mounting plate (not riveted) and has the classic 15 mm fine pitch. Product details & condition: • Manufacturer: Petri AG (Original BMW sport accessory of the era) • Diameter / spline: 40 cm (400 mm) / 15 mm BMW fine spline • Steering wheel rim: Original PUR foam with fine surface texture. The material sits absolutely firmly on the core and does not twist. No deep cracks. A small, purely superficial nick is present (see detail photo). • Accessory: Including original, flawless plastic horn push (horn button). • Hub: Remnants of the old paper-type sticker on the back (typical for Petri steering wheels before the KBA era from 1974, as numbers were not punched in yet). • Technology: The rare, sprung brass horn contact lever for the 02-series is intact and functional.
