Statuette, Flirting Couple - 35 cm - Glaze, Ceramic - 1990

Elegant stylized ceramic sculpture depicting a couple in Art Deco/Modern style, characterized by very slender and sinuous lines. The gold adhesive sticker on the base displays the letter "P" surmounted by a crown, identifying the factory mark of the Preziosi Ceramiche manufactory, active in Puglia. This type of decorative and gift item, produced between the late 20th century and the early 21st century, echoes the elongated shapes typical of historic ceramic or porcelain figures with retro taste, enriched by material or metallic details (such as the conspicuous gold twisted ornament applied to the neck of the female figure).
