More than almost any other jeweller in the world, the name BVLGARI stands for exciting jewellery, for a world of luxury, elegance and glamour. The traditional house was founded in Rome in 1881 by Greek-born Sotirios Voulgaris. After the opening of the Cinecittà studios, BVLGARI quickly became the preferred address for film stars of the time. Elizabeth Taylor, Marlene Dietrich, Clark Gable, Gary Cooper, Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Loren, Romy Schneider and Gina Lollobrigida made the name the epitome of the dolce vita. This extraordinary vintage ring from BVLGARI is an impressive example of the powerful design of the 1960s. Crafted from high-carat yellow gold, it features a spectacular composition of coiled gold, between which ten brilliant-cut diamonds of first-class quality unfold. Unlike most pieces in today's collections, this is a handcrafted one-off with an unmistakable character. The surface with its fine openings plays with light and shadow in a fascinating way and is reminiscent of parasols on the Copacabana or the elaborate updos of the elegant ladies of those years. Even the solid ring band is designed down to the last detail and features a filigree decoration reminiscent of twisted ropes. This ring embodies the aesthetics and self-image of an era in which jewellery was far more than just an ornament - it was an expression of style, attitude and personality. Whether as a collector's item or as a striking companion on the finger, this ring is a true piece of design history from BVLGARI. The ring comes from a distinguished Hanseatic household and carries the aura of past greatness and timeless elegance.
