SPAIN. Viceroyalty of New Spain. 1740-Mo MF 1/2 Real. Mexico City Mint. Calico-264, Yonaka-M05-40, KM-65. AU-55 (PCGS). A pretty piece with dominant olive-gray patina backlit by pink and blue iridescence, the latter most intense at the borders. Detail is suitably bold for a lightly circulated example of this challenging type, all major features fully appreciable, lower reverse periphery with light clash marks from the reverse die. Softly lustrous with much of the frosty luster discernible as the surface rotate unto direct lighting. Provenance: From the Emerald Coast Collection. PCGS# 670191.
