Spain. Grand knight cross of the Order of the Holy Grail, Holy Chalice. Beautiful cross with green enamel, tears of blood enameled in red and marked with the sacred chalice in golden and amber enamel. It measures 7x7 cm. Good condition, with normal sings of use: slight wear to the green enamel above the chalice, the back with some minor friction, see photos. Includes lanyard. The Royal Brotherhood of the Holy Chalice of Valencia, was created in 1917, by Valencian nobles in order to contribute to the cult and custody of the Sacred Relic, preserved in the Cathedral of Valencia, who assure that it is the original cup of the last Jesus supper. The Brotherhood adopted as a symbol, the Cross of the order of the Dominican friars, Domini Can, the dogs of God, a mendicant order that acquired a notable presence in Europe with the Inquisition. It consists of a Greek cross with the arms in the shape of a Fleur de Lis. The 4 arms of the cross are of equal measure forming a right angle.
