Space Age Design Asbak SC3 Sicart Italy - Ashtray - Ceramic

Beautiful, original vintage design ashtray (model SC3), designed by the well-known Italian architect and designer Angelo Mangiarotti for Sicart Italy in the 1970s. This iconic piece is a perfect example of Space Age and Mid-Century Modern design from that era. The ashtray is rendered in a striking, lively yellow color and is made of high-quality glazed ceramic. Authenticity: The ashtray is originally stamped on the underside with the mark "SC3 ITALY" (see attached photo of the bottom). This guarantees that it is an authentic design object from the 1970s. Features & Operation: The clever, windproof design functions as a so-called storm ashtray. Ash and cigarette debris fall through the round opening directly into the lower, deeper reservoir. This prevents the wind from taking hold and keeps the ash neatly out of sight. The black cap on the inside forms a beautiful graphic contrast with the yellow ceramic.
