South Middlesex Rifle Volunteers, Officer’s Shoulder Belt, Plate and Pouch. A very good example black leather Shoulder Belt, complete with all fittings quality silver or silver plated (unmarked and untested), the Shoulder Belt Plate with a Victorian crowned Garter belt, centred with a bulbous dome, with the arms of Middlesex upon a silvered lined shield, within the Garter, the title ‘South Middlesex Rifle Volunteers’, with its whistle and two chains, a lion’s mask, all fittings nicely toned silver toned, with a very good tin lined black leather pouch with its original silver plated French Horn to the flap, the stitching has failed on a small leather panel upon the reverse, now within the pouch for safekeeping, otherwise very good condition.
