Søren Madsen Knie: Danish Rococo cream jug in silver. Copenhagen hallmark

A Danish Rococo silver creamer, gilt interior, of fluted and rounded form, later wood stick handle, raised on three stylised animal feet with flowers. Base pin-pricked "DK" and "24 lod 3 qtt". Maker Søren Madsen Knie, licensed in Kalundborg 1759–1797, Copenhagen town mark 1767 and corresponding assay mark. Weight in total 383 g. H. 9 cm. W. 21.5 cm.
