Sony Metal-XR & UX, lot of 5 vintage high-bias and metal audio cassettes, ca. 1992-1994 Nice lot of 5 vintage Sony audio tapes from the early 90s, with four high-quality Metal-XR Type IV metal tapes and one UX Type II Chrome Position cassette. The lot consists of: - 3 × Sony Metal-XR 50, Type IV Metal - 1 × Sony Metal-XR 90, Type IV Metal - 1 × Sony UX 60, Type II / Chrome Position. The Sony Metal-XR cassettes belong to Sony's premium metal series and are designed for recordings with a wide dynamic range, low noise and high output. The packaging lists IEC IV / Type IV Metal, 70 µs EQ. The Sony UX 60 is a high-quality Type II cassette, intended for Chrome Position / High Bias recordings. The cassettes have been tested and function well. I have used them myself for recordings that sound nicely dynamic, clear and detailed. The packaging shows minor signs of aging and use, as visible in the photos. Please look carefully at the photos, they are an integral part of the description. An interesting lot for collectors of vintage blank media, Sony audio, cassette decks and analog hi-fi.
