Sonne C.M.F

Italian-made Sonne camera — extremely rare! The Sonne C4 model, improved version, was launched in 1954. It was equipped with a window combining viewfinder and rangefinder (an engineering trend of the time — an area where Leica lagged somewhat), which led to significant changes in the coupled viewfinder and rangefinder mechanisms, as well as a redesign of the top plate. There are two versions of the C4, differing only by minor cosmetic details; for example, the first-generation version bears a symbol representing a 'little sun' on the front face. Production of the C4 continued until around 1956, with a total worldwide production of only 600 units. It remains very rare! Supplied with its original leather case. Highly sought after by collectors. Not tested; lens not included. Pieces are missing from the top part of the camera; sold as-is for parts.
