Two cultures. A single presence. With The Last Shogun, SKE pits against each other two icons that should never have met: Goldorak, monumental hero of Japanese animation, and the mythical Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7, the cult silhouette of sports cars. Goldorak dominates the composition like a guardian out of time. At his feet, the 911 stands in profile, low, taut, immediately recognizable. Around them, Mount Fuji, the great red sun, cherry blossoms, graphic clouds, and calligraphic signs set a dreamlike Japan atmosphere, between traditional art prints and contemporary pop culture. The dialogue works because it brings together two forms of nostalgia: that of the heroes with whom a generation grew up, and that of machines that have become objects of desire. SKE does not treat them as mere references: he confronts them in a dense, graphic, almost ceremonial composition, where the robot takes on the look of the last mechanical samurai and the Porsche becomes its modern steed. Printed on Hahnemühle art paper in A2 landscape format, this edition is limited to 10 copies, each signed and hand-numbered by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The work is offered unframed and printed by Atelier Montmartre, Paris. The Last Shogun is not a nostalgic poster: it is a collectible piece designed for those who like to recognize a reference, then discover that it has been relocated elsewhere. - FRAMING TIPS Your artwork is shipped rolled and protected in a tube. Upon receipt, carefully remove it and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours to allow it to regain its shape before framing. ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available at hardware or home décor stores. Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant, and affordable; they perfectly showcase the artworks. - ARTIST BIO: SKE is a self-taught, versatile French artist who grew up immersed in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his work. He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meanings, combine the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art. After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen noticeably. He won the Urban Master first prize (2023), was named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October and has also been featured in an American art magazine, confirming his international recognition. His works have been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his position on the contemporary art scene. At the same time, SKE has established himself in the digital art market, a major trend of the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations to collectors. Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and texture play characterize a style now indispensable. SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value. Renowned & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY The work of SKE fits into a prestigious lineage. His line conveys the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit classics, not hesitating to reframe Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws. POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons of our childhood. He stages Disney’s universe with characters like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami. LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside luxury and fashion brands’ logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you’ll encounter the sneaker world (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass-consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured work that evokes the glossy finish of a Jeff Koons or the facets of a Richard Orlinski. This artwork is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your interior. - Instagram artist SKE: ske_shakeyourart
