SKE - La Route des Nuages

SKE - La Route des Nuages

"La Route des Nuages" – Ultra-Limited Edition (10 copies) - New collection Edition number: 01/10 Artist: SKE Instagram of the artist SKE: ske_shakeyourart Mixed media painting technique (Procreate AI Photoshop) Publisher: Atelier Montmartre Paris Premium art paper – ISO A2 format (42x59.4 cm) – Signed, numbered – Certificate included Before the transformations, the impossible battles, and the cosmic threats, there was mainly a road, a yellow cloud, and a band that was discovering the world. La Route des Nuages returns to the energy of early Dragon Ball: Goku as a child on Kinto-un, the tail still visible and the Nyoibo on his back, Bulma speeding on her Capsule bike, Oolong right behind. A time when adventure mattered less for power than for the pleasure of leaving without really knowing what would come after the next turn. I built this scene as the meeting of two visual memories. On one side, the manga that accompanied an entire generation. On the other, the codes of Japanese prints: vertigo-inducing mountains, clipped pines, large red disc, graphic clouds, calligraphic cartouches, and seals that structure the image. The setting is not merely a background: it transforms the journey of Goku, Bulma, and Oolong into a true mythical crossing. It is precisely this contrast that interests me in SKE: to make a pop-culture icon dialogue with a more traditional, textured, and contemporary artistic writing, without losing what instantly triggers the memory. This piece speaks to those who don’t just see Goku, but remember the moment when it all began. Not yet an invincible legend. Just a kid, his friends, a road... and the sense that the whole world remained to be discovered. Specifications: • Limited edition of 10 copies • Printed on premium art paper • ISO A2 format (42x59.4 cm), easy to frame • Each copy signed and numbered by SKE • Includes certificate of authenticity • Shipped protected, reinforced packaging A rare edition that will undoubtedly become a flagship item in your collection. - FRAMING TIPS Your artwork is shipped rolled and protected in a tube. Upon receipt, remove it gently and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours so it naturally regains its shape before framing. ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available in DIY or décor stores. Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant, and affordable; they showcase the works perfectly. - ARTIST BIO: SKE is a self-taught French artist with a versatile background who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large majority of his artistic works. He continually explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meanings, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art. After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value rose notably. Winner of the Urban Master first prize (2023), then elected Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" in October, and also featured in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition. His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, reinforcing his place in the contemporary art scene. Parallel to this, SKE is also making a mark in the digital art market, a major trend of the past two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations to collectors. Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and textured plays characterize a style now essential. SKE is undeniably an artist to follow, to begin or enrich a collection with rising value. Awarded & Recognized Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work fits into a prestigious lineage. His line shows the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works bridge eras: they revisit classics, not hesitating to twist the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws. POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the mythical Game Boy to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami. LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with the codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside the logos of luxury and fashion giants. His canvases capture the aesthetic of “Hype”: you encounter sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured finishes sometimes recalling the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski. This work is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your interior. - Instagram artist SKE: ske_shakeyourart
