SKE - 6.2 Million Snack

SKE - 6.2 Million Snack

"6.2 Million Snack" – Limited Edition Number 02/30 EA ("Artist Edition", the rarest and most sought-after editions). Artist: SKE Publisher: Atelier Montmartre Paris Fine art paper 300 g – ISO A3 format – Signed, numbered – Certificate included Mixed media: digital painting (Procreate AI Photoshop) In this work, SKE reinterprets one of the most-discussed episodes in the contemporary art market: a banana taped to a wall (comedian), auctioned for over 6 million euros, by the artist Maurizio Cattelan. Here, Gaston does not look at the work. He eats it. Quietly. The price tag still hangs, but the concept has already been digested. The gesture is simple, almost naive, and yet radical. With this ironic wink, SKE questions value, storytelling, and the sometimes-accepted absurdity of the art market. When the object disappears, what remains? The idea, the myth… or simply a very dear anecdote. Pop vibe, street energy, projections and splashes place the scene in the SKE universe: accessible, funny, but deliberately critical. A work that makes you smile while it provokes thought, and which reminds us that in contemporary art, everything is about context… and appetite. Specifications: • Limited edition • Printed on premium 300 g fine art paper • ISO A3 format, easy to frame • Each edition is signed and numbered by SKE • Delivered with certificate of authenticity • Protected shipping, reinforced packaging “6.2 Million Snack” is a vibrant, joyful piece designed for collectors who love pop art, reinterpreted comics, and works that tell a story. A rare edition that will undoubtedly become a highlight of your collection. - FRAMING TIPS Your artwork is shipped rolled and protected in a tube. Upon receipt, remove it carefully and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours to allow it to regain its natural shape before framing. ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available at hardware or decor shops. Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant, and affordable; they showcase the artworks perfectly. - ARTIST BIO: SKE is a self-taught, versatile French artist who grew up in the culture of the 80s/90s, inspiring a large portion of his body of work. He continually explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with double meanings, fuse the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art. After an exceptional 2025, SKE’s market value has risen noticeably. He won the first prize at the Urban Master contest (2023), and was later named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was featured as "Artist of the Month" in October and also appeared in an American art magazine, confirming his international recognition. His works have already been exhibited at major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, cementing his place on the contemporary art scene. Concurrently, SKE is also making his mark in the digital art market, a major trend of the last two years, boosting the appeal of his creations to collectors. Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and texture play define a style now indispensable. SKE is undeniably an artist to watch, to start or enrich a collection with rising value. Established & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work is rooted in a prestigious lineage. His line conveys the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works bridge eras: they reinterpret the classics, not hesitating to reinterpret Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms, to juxtapose them with a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws. POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons of our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from Nintendo and the iconic Game Boy to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami. LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The dollar symbol sits beside the logos of luxury and fashion giants. His canvases capture the aesthetic of “Hype”: the sneaker universe (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass-consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art with textured finishes that sometimes recall the glossy surface of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski. This piece is ideal to enrich a collection or bring a dynamic touch to your living space.
