[Signed] [First Edition] The Cathedrals of the Church of Ireland DAY

First edition. 174 pp. 19.5 cm. Illustrated with a frontispiece and plates of printed photographs. Publishers' dark red cloth, gilt spine titles, without dustwrapper. Very good with moderate scattered spotting. Signed by J. Godfrey Day on the front free endpaper, verso (dated 1934), and Inscribed by (his son?) Pat Day to the great boxing champion Gene Tunney: "To Gene, from Pat Day, 1940." The Most Rev John Godfrey Fitzmaurice Day was an Anglican Archbishop. He became Vicar of St. Ann's Church, Dublin, in 1909, and Bishop of Ossory, Ferns and Leighlin, in 1920, holding the post for 18 years. In 1938 he was elected Archbishop of Armagh.
