An exceptionally scarce, author-signed first edition of this charming citrus focused Florida recipe collection, with no known institutional holdings. In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding with pictorial paper covered boards.This volume is an exceptionally scarce first edition. No copies are currently held institutionally.This copy is signed and dated by the author to the front free endpaper "Jessie Candler Coachman 1938".After moving to the Coachman groves and raising a crop of kumquats, upon finding useful then only for decorating citrus boxes, Coachman set out to make them truly appealing. Through trial and error perfecting preserves, marmalades, and jellies, providing the inspiration for the recipes gathered in this book.Recipes include "Mint Cup," "Orange and Honey Cocktail," "Florida orange Biscuit," "Orange Bread," "Orange Puffs," "Srystallized Grapefruit Fingers," "Kumquat Dainty," "Kumquat Salad," "Shrimp and Orange Salad," "Orange Cookies," and "Pineapple Milk Sherbet", to name a few.
