[Signed] [First Edition] Lanterns Across the Snow

A new edition, and the first with these John Lawrence illustrations, which comprise a title page decoration, patterned endpaper decorations, two full-page plates, and various illustrations and decorations in the text. This copy signed by the author on the title page. 8vo. 71pp. Purple cloth lettered in gold at the spine and with a gilt-stamped decoration to the upper board. Former dealer price inked (??) to the tip of one preliminary and one concluding leaf, else in fine state. No dust wrapper called for, but housed in the original stiff card slipcase. A new edition of her delightful Christmas story, issued here under the author's own Long Barn Books imprint a year after the original edition (that one featured wood engraved illustrations by Kathleen Lindsley).
