EW Seiko Sidera Chronometrie Sport – Goodwood 1966 Chronograph – Seiko VK64 Mecha-Quartz. A sporty yet refined watch, in excellent aesthetic condition and perfectly functioning. This model pays homage to the famous Goodwood Motor Circuit and, in particular, to 1966: the last year of its original sporting era and the year in which the last major international competition was held there before the circuit closed to racing. The dial is made in a fascinating British Racing Green, the traditional green associated with British automotive competitions and the most prestigious English sportscars. An elegant shade deeply tied to the history of British motor racing. On the green dial stand out the two silver sub-dials in contrast. The main hands, applied indices and the large Arabic numerals 12 and 6 are finished in gold tones, creating a particularly refined pairing with the British Racing Green. The white outer minute track ensures excellent legibility, while the steel case, chronograph pushers and crown complete the model’s sporty character. The watch is equipped with the Japanese chronograph movement Seiko/TMI VK64 Mecha-Quartz, part of the Premium Chronograph VK series. This technology combines the precision and reliability of a quartz movement with a mechanical-type chronograph structure. The chronograph central hand advances with a rapid, smooth motion by fractions of a second and, at the end of the measurement, instantly returns to the initial position with the dry zero reset typical of mechanical chronographs. The movement features a central 1/5 second chronograph, minute counter, and 24-hour indicator. A solution greatly appreciated because it combines precision, reduced maintenance, and user enjoyment. Green perforated racing leather strap, with contrasting yellow-gold stitching and light leather inner lining. Custom Sidera pin buckle. Custom stainless steel case back with engraving “Sidera Chronometrie Sport”. Dimensions: Case diameter without crown: 39 mm Case diameter including crown: 42 mm Lug-to-lug: 46 mm Strap width: 20 mm Water resistance: 10 bar The watch is supplied with its elegant coordinating green Sidera presentation box. The photographs are an integral part of the description and show in detail the dial, case, strap, buckle, case back, and packaging.
