Elegant French antique occasional table / plant table – Art Nouveau / Jugendstil A beautiful and elegant French antique occasional table, which can also be excellent as a plant table or decorative stand. The table features a particularly graceful and slender design and sits on four swivel casters. The top surface is crafted as a lovely rectangular tray with raised edges. This creates a characteristic and practical whole, on which, for example, a beautiful plant, vase of flowers, lamp or decorative object can be placed. The slim base consists of four long, elegant legs connected by several horizontal bars. The open construction gives the table a light and refined appearance. The table is made of wood and finished in a warm dark reddish-brown color. The combination of the long, slender legs, the horizontal connecting rails, and the characteristic top gives the furnishing a beautiful look that fits well within Art Nouveau / Jugendstil. The table originates from France and is dated to circa 1900–1920. Condition The table is in an authentic antique condition, appropriate for its age and use. In the past, a few repairs have been made, including a repair to the top surface. This is visible in the photos. In addition, the table shows the usual signs of age and use that are expected for furniture of this age. The four swivel castors are present and all rotate. Over time, the casters are slightly deformed. Use and interior This versatile table can be used in different ways.
