Antique set of three oak nest tables (also known as mimiset) in Jacobean style, characterized by the barley-twist legs and the rectangular wooden leaves. This type of mimiset is a typical example of early- to mid-20th-century British or European mass-produced furniture. They were produced in large quantities at the time by numerous local furniture workshops and ateliers, especially in England, often without leaving a maker's mark or brand stamp. The manufacturer based the design on the Jacobean Revival style. The barley-twist legs were so popular at the time that almost every wood-turning shop and furniture factory carried this model in their range.
