Side table (2) - Louis XVI - Wood, Brass - Chests of drawers

They are two Louis XVI-style bedside cabinets (or occasional tables) made of wood and finished with that distinctive balance of neoclassicism: clear proportions, symmetry, restrained ornament, and an elegance that doesn’t rely on excess. The wood, with a warm tone and pronounced grain, adds depth and presence, while the brass details—especially on the front embellishments and the handles—introduce just the right shine, that soft gold that defines the Louis XVI aesthetic reinterpreted in mid-20th century. Each cabinet features three drawers, decorated with rectangular frames and linear motifs that evoke the garlands and moldings of the classical style. Two of the handles appear without rings, a detail that adds a subtle functional asymmetry and betrays the hand of an period workshop, where pieces were adjusted and replaced with practical judgment without breaking the overall harmony. The set conveys that blend of domestic classicism and mid-century modernity, where French tradition adapts to contemporary interiors without losing its identity. They are solid, decorative, and versatile pieces, perfect for adding a historic touch with serenity and character. Certified shipping and careful packaging.
