A premium A1-format (landscape) technical poster dedicated to the Porsche 911 GT2 (Type 996) from 2001 — an uncompromising rear-wheel-drive supercar that combined immense twin-turbocharged power with lightweight construction and motorsport-derived engineering. This artwork presents a highly detailed multi-view technical illustration, including front, rear, side, and top perspectives, complemented by precise dimensions and key specifications. A harmonious blend of German engineering, racing heritage, and technical precision, captured in a clean, blueprint-inspired layout. Highlights The Most Extreme 996 Introduced in 2001, the Porsche 911 GT2 represented the most powerful and focused road-going version of the 996-generation 911. Developed from the 911 Turbo platform, it removed the all-wheel-drive system and much of the refinement to create a lighter, faster, and considerably more demanding performance car. Twin-Turbocharged Flat-Six At its heart is a 3.6-litre water-cooled, twin-turbocharged flat-six engine producing 462 PS in its original specification. Based on Porsche’s robust motorsport-derived engine architecture, it delivers immense acceleration, forceful mid-range performance, and a top speed exceeding 300 km/h. Rear-Wheel-Drive Purity Unlike the all-wheel-drive 996 Turbo, the GT2 sends its power exclusively to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. This arrangement reduced weight and created a more direct driving experience with minimal separation between the driver and the car’s considerable performance. Lightweight Construction The GT2 received extensive weight-saving measures, including reduced sound insulation, lighter interior components, lightweight seats, and the removal of the Turbo’s front-drive hardware. These changes improved acceleration, braking, and chassis response. Competition-Focused Chassis Revised suspension geometry, stiffer settings, wider wheels, and track-focused calibration gave the GT2 exceptional response and high-speed stability. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes provided immense stopping power while reducing unsprung weight. Functional Aerodynamics A redesigned front bumper with large cooling openings, deeper aerodynamic elements, and a prominent fixed rear wing distinguish the GT2 from other 996 models. Air intakes integrated into the wing supports supply additional cooling air to the twin-turbocharged engine. Supercar Performance Capable of accelerating from 0–100 km/h in approximately four seconds and reaching around 315 km/h, the original 996 GT2 ranked among the fastest production cars of its era. Its lack of all-wheel drive and limited electronic intervention also made it one of the most challenging. Collector Appeal Produced in limited numbers, the 996 GT2 is considerably rarer than the contemporary 911 Turbo. Its manual transmission, rear-wheel-drive layout, motorsport-derived engine, and uncompromising personality have earned it growing recognition among Porsche collectors. Technical Precision Accurate dimensional layouts inspired by classic engineering schematics highlight the vehicle’s widened stance, aerodynamic components, distinctive rear wing, and unmistakable high-performance character. Condition New — professionally printed on premium-quality paper. Dimensions A1 format (594 × 841 mm), horizontal landscape orientation Perfect For Porsche enthusiasts and collectors 911 GT2 and 996-generation fans Twin-turbocharged performance-car admirers Modern homologation and motorsport enthusiasts Premium interior décor or collector-grade gift
