Offered is an elegant and highly detailed A1-size poster featuring the legendary Ferrari F40 Berlinetta (1987), one of the most uncompromising and recognizable supercars ever produced. The artwork combines several illustrated views of the vehicle with detailed mechanical components, technical specifications, and dimensional information. Description This A1-format poster presents the Ferrari F40 from 1987 through a carefully arranged collection of automotive illustrations. The design combines complete exterior views with separate technical studies of the engine, suspension, wheels, aerodynamic components, and principal vehicle dimensions. The design includes: Multiple front, rear three-quarter, and side views of the Ferrari F40 Detailed illustration of the twin-turbocharged V8 engine Suspension and mechanical component illustrations Wheel and tyre construction details Overall dimensions, wheelbase, track width, and wheel specifications Technical specification panel with performance information Decorative engineering, compass, and scale elements Vintage-inspired background with a double-line border Poster size: A1 (594 × 841 mm) Design & Aesthetic The poster is executed in the style of a vintage automotive engineering plate. Detailed shaded illustrations are combined with restrained technical annotations and carefully positioned dimensional markings. The warm, lightly aged background, bold period-inspired typography, symmetrical border, and muted automotive colors create the appearance of a historic workshop document or technical manual. The combination of dramatic exterior views and exposed mechanical components makes the composition both decorative and informative. Subject Significance Introduced in 1987 to celebrate Ferrari’s fortieth anniversary, the Ferrari F40 was developed as an uncompromising, lightweight, high-performance berlinetta. It evolved from the experimental 288 GTO Evoluzione programme and placed speed, aerodynamic efficiency, and direct driver involvement above luxury or refinement. The F40 was powered by a mid-mounted 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 478 CV in European specification. Power was delivered exclusively to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. Its lightweight construction incorporated a tubular steel chassis together with body panels made from advanced composite materials, including Kevlar, carbon fibre, and fibreglass. The stripped-back interior, fixed racing-style seats, lightweight windows, and limited sound insulation further reflected the car’s uncompromising purpose. The dramatic bodywork was shaped with aerodynamic performance in mind. Its low nose, covered headlamps, NACA ducts, extensive ventilation, flat underbody, and enormous fixed rear wing created one of the most distinctive supercar silhouettes ever designed. With a claimed top speed of 324 km/h, the F40 became the first series-production road car to exceed 200 mph. It was also the final new Ferrari road model unveiled during Enzo Ferrari’s lifetime, giving it exceptional historical significance. Today, the Ferrari F40 is regarded as one of the defining supercars of the twentieth century. Its raw performance, minimal electronic assistance, lightweight construction, and unmistakable styling have made it one of the most desirable and collectible Ferrari models ever produced. Condition Excellent visual condition Crisp print quality with finely rendered details No visible defects (adjust if necessary) Lot Details Lot size: 1 poster Size: A1 Theme: Classic supercar / mechanical illustration Subject: Ferrari F40 Berlinetta (1987) Collector’s Appeal This poster is an ideal collectible for Ferrari enthusiasts, supercar admirers, motorsport fans, and collectors of historically significant performance cars. It works particularly well as a decorative centerpiece for a home, office, garage, studio, workshop, or showroom, combining the dramatic presence of the Ferrari F40 with detailed illustrations of its mechanical construction.
