All auctions / Miscellaneous / Shelf - Three Levels - Brass - Glass Shelves
Elegant three-level sideboard or auxiliary shelf dating from the mid-20th century, a piece that rightly captures the geometric and refined legacy of Art Deco reinterpreted with a lighter, more functional sensibility typical of the postwar era. Its structure combines three shelves of transparent glass with polished greenish-toned edges, providing visual luminosity and a noticeable sense of lightness, allowing the objects on display to seem to float in space. The shelves are articulated by four dark metal uprights with a twisted finish, a decorative detail that introduces rhythm and verticality to the whole. The spherical caps and brass gold rings create an attractive color contrast between the warm shine of the metal and the sobriety of the dark framework, evoking the luxurious decorative codes of Art Deco. The small feet ending in balls reinforce the elegance of the design and provide a balanced, sleek presence. With compact proportions and great decorative versatility, this piece can function as a display shelf, a living-room auxiliary unit, a stand for glassware, or even as an elegant open vitrine for decorative objects, books, or collections. The combination of glass, patinated metal, and brass gives it a sophisticated, timeless aesthetic, capable of fitting into both classical interiors and contemporary settings where vintage accents with strong personality are sought. Shipped with certificate and secure packaging.
