Shipping only within the EU plus Norway and Switzerland. Very good, rare terra-cotta Buddha amulet from Burma (Shan State) from the 18th century. Refined detailing. With traces of gold leaf and natural lacquer. The right hand is in Bhumisparsha mudra, the gesture of the earth-toucher. The Buddha sits on the stylized lotus throne. On the head we see the Ushnisha, the globe-shaped protrusion as an expression of Buddha's wisdom, and above it the Ketumala, which symbolizes the Buddha's Enlightenment. Amulet dimensions: height approx. 7.5 cm, max width 4.5 cm, depth max approx. 2.1 cm. Dimensions with stand approx. 10.5 x 8 x 4.5 cm. No fractures or restorations. Given the age of this Buddha amulet, the condition can be described as excellent. From my own collection, heirloom, in Europe for many decades.
