Old Shaman mask from the Himalayas in Nepal with original mustache. In Nepal, the shaman plays an important role in society. He wears this mask while channeling spirits, allowing him to attract the right spirits and ward off evil spirits. These 'good' spirits help cure illnesses and guide villagers through important life changes involving the spirit world, such as birth, change in social status and death. 3th quarter 20th century. Such a mask can also be hung indoors, where it fulfills a protective function. Tribal used, good condition. Some dry cracks due age and use, but stable condition. Authentic old used mask. Careful registered sending, combined shipping possible. #ttoct
