Set of 3 old molds carved into black stone (steatite) of Indian origin. In traditional Indian craftsmanship, and especially in Rajasthan, this type of hand-engraved discs is used to press biscuits, shape sweets, or to flatten and decorate chapatis. The radiating geometric motif at the center recalls a rosette or sun pattern. Rustic folk art pieces, these objects are between 60 and 80 years old. They are now highly sought after for interior decoration as trivets, coasters, or candle holders. The set weighs 2130 g. Each piece measures approximately 14 cm in diameter and 2 cm in height.
