UNSEEN — What you don’t see **Unseen** is a series dedicated to all that exists beyond the surface. Emotions that can’t be put into words. Memories that continue to live inside us. Fragility, transformations, and parts of our identity that change over time. Each work is born from the meeting of form and matter. The face appears, interrupts, dissolves, and resurfaces through pigments, traces, and spontaneous gestures. It is not the portrait of a specific person, but the representation of an inner dimension. Matter thus becomes a language: it lets emerge what cannot be fully told with words. Each piece is unique because even the gesture, the material, and the pigment’s reaction are unrepeatable. **I don’t seek to represent what we see. I seek to give shape to what we feel.** **Serena Grassetti** * Shipping and presentation: The artwork will be shipped without a frame, rolled carefully on a tube to ensure maximum safety during transport. It may be framed or mounted on a frame at the collector’s discretion. * Original piece signed by the artist, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. This work is realized on canvas without a frame and is shipped rolled to guarantee maximum safety during transport. ATTENTION: *The canvas is not treated with gesso or primer, so it is a raw and natural material. *It should not be stretched excessively during framing to avoid alterations of the texture and the natural pigment yield. *Do not use a canvas-tightener, as it could compromise the stability of the work. *It is advisable to entrust installation to an expert framer for optimal mounting. Created on a raw canvas that enhances the materiality of the work, this piece unites figurative art with the expressive gesture of abstraction, evoking emotion and introspection. Serena Grassetti — Contemporary Artist Serena Grassetti is an Italian contemporary artist whose research explores the inner world through emotion, memory, identity, and transformation. Her practice arises from the meeting of figure and matter: faces, traces, and gestures emerge and dissolve on the surface, leaving room for what cannot be fully told. She uses natural pigments, matter, and charcoal as expressive tools, highlighting spontaneity and irreplicability. Each work stems from a process in which the artist’s gesture and the material’s reaction become an integral part of the piece. Her research is summarized in the principle: “Give form to what is not seen.” The work, created with mixed techniques and natural pigments, contains the chromatic power of one who has learned to transform the painterly gesture into pure emotion, in a quest that traverses time and the contemporary art market. Among the depths of color, one senses the same tension that made Francis Bacon’s brushstrokes iconic, the gesturality of Jackson Pollock, and the introspection of Lucian Freud. A piece that fits into the landscape of collectible modern art, perfect for those seeking a work with strong emotional impact, capable of dialoguing with the visual energy of galleries in New York, London, Paris, and Hong Kong, where names like Basquiat, Rothko, and Gerhard Richter have left their mark. A work destined for those who understand the value of art that goes beyond form, penetrating the heart of human expression, as Pablo Picasso, Gustav Klimt, and Egon Schiele did over time. The dynamism of the brushstrokes and the depth of the sign make this canvas a perfect investment for collectors and lovers of fine art, always seeking unique pieces able to sit among the greats of Pop Art and conceptual art. A unique piece for art collectors, perfect for galleries and investors seeking luxury art and works likely to increase in value over time. In a world dominated by pop artists like Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Banksy, and Kaws, this work stands out for its use of completely natural coloration, which makes every piece unique and irrepeatable. An exclusive alternative for those seeking contemporary art with a distinctive and authentic signature. The works are part of private collections and international art galleries, with sales in cities such as Dubai, New York, Berlin, London, and Paris, capitals of the art market and art investment. Perfect for those desiring a unique and original piece, able to combine tradition, innovation, and deep visual expressiveness.
