Beautiful, large shell Tonna Ampullacea - a species of large sea snail, a mollusk of the family Tonnidae. The shell has a globular shape, resembling an ampoule or a spherical bottle (hence the name “ampullacea”). It grows up to 20–25 cm in length, but due to the thin walls it is very light. Surface - smooth, thin and fragile, with visible delicate spiral lines. Aperture (opening): very wide, spanning a substantial part of the shell; the edge is thin and sharp. Coloration: usually light brown, yellow-gray or cream, with darker streaks and speckles; the interior of the aperture white or slightly pinkish. Dimensions - 125/160/205 mm. I warmly recommend it to collectors and interior decorators.
