A splendid pair of decorative wall miniatures, perfect for lovers of classic, Baroque, and atmospheric antique style. The two oval pieces depict the famous Queen Marie Antoinette (inspired by the famous painting with Vigée Le Brun's rose) and her court painter Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun. The images are set in two spectacular oviform rococó-like frames in full Rococo/Louis XV style, characterized by a pierced, extremely sinuous design dominated by asymmetric motifs. They feature a scenographic pediment in the shape of a stylized shell (rocaille) and volute curls. The outer edge is entirely surrounded by a foliage acanthus pattern with small floral buds that create light and shadow games thanks to the pierced design. The base echoes the motif of the frieze, closing the structure symmetrically. The surface has a rich gilding with an antique effect. It shows a light dark patina in the grooves that enhances its depth. This set is a piece of furniture with a strong visual impact. It is ideal for enhancing a classic living room, a romantic bedroom, a study, or to create a Parisian-style gallery wall. An excellent affordable alternative to costly antique paintings, without sacrificing elegance.
