Refined antique bronze sculpture, obviously inspired by the famous allegorical iconography of the late 19th / early 20th century "Le Travail" (inspired by the renowned models of French masters such as Émile Louis Picault and Eugène Marioton). The work celebrates the dignity and strength of manual labor. Made with the complex technique of lost-wax casting, the statue shows an excellent quality in the details of the casting (visible in the taut muscle bands, in the drapery and in the working tools) and presents a warm patina of dark brown, bronze-gold that magnificently enhances the volumes and the chiaroscuri of the surface. imperceptible defect (weld) on the left forearm as in the photo.
