Sculpture, PERSEO - 25 cm - Patinated bronze

Sculpture of the bust of Perseus, freely inspired by the famous Renaissance masterpiece Perseus with the Head of Medusa created by Benvenuto Cellini. The sculpture shows the face of the demigod and Greek hero characterized by the gaze directed downward, the curly hair, and the unmistakable winged helmet given to him by Hermes to defeat the Gorgon. It is a bronze casting resting on a circular rosette pedestal. This specific type of decorative busts “grand tour” made at the end of the 19th century and the early 20th century. Height about 24 / 25 cm. Good condition, normal signs of time and wear. See photos for condition and measurements. I do not ship outside the European Community.
