Elegant and exceptionally detailed bronze sculpture of an elegant young woman in a flowing, pleated dress. The forward-leaning posture, the finely worked hands, the hairstyle and, especially, the rich fall of the drapery give the sculpture a very graceful and classical appearance. The warm bronze-colored patina emphasizes the details and provides a beautiful contrast with the heavy, high-gloss black marble plinth. On the back is the original foundry mark: “Fonderia del Bronzo – Italia – Cera Persa” This refers to production in Italy according to the traditional cire perdue / lost-wax technique, a classic method for casting bronze sculptures. The sculpture also bears a signature in bronze, but the artist is intentionally not attributed in this listing. A decorative and stylish object that fits equally well in both classical and modern interiors. Thanks to the combination of dark bronze and the black marble base, the piece has a luxurious and timeless look.
