Schloss Augustusburg - Brühl. Collection of 39 large-format photographs (some heliogravures, but most likely silver gelatin prints). Mostly mounted in loose folders; the collection comes from a folder of the Berlin architect Franz Schwechten (see illustration, not part of the offering), the heliogravures bearing stamps of the architect Eduard Siegle. Exclusively interior views of the Rococo castle in Brühl (UNESCO World Heritage Site). I could find no proof of the photographer; only Paul W. John seems to have also taken photos of the castle and the interior views, but these photos are not identified by name or with a photographer’s stamp. An unusual collection, also unusually large format (40 x 30 cm). Partially creased, with impressions on the reverse, minor edge tears.
