Set of four Andre T chairs designed by Bořek Šípek and produced by Scarabas in 2001. A rare example of Bořek Šípek's postmodern design, characterized by a sculptural and highly recognizable silhouette. The chairs feature a contoured frame, a burgundy velvet-covered backrest with decorative details, a black upholstered seat, and black leather/eco-leather armrests with the distinctive ruched finish. The Andre T model is documented in design catalogs and auctions as Scarabas production from 2001. The Czech designer Bořek Šípek (1949–2016) is known for his eclectic and postmodern approach to design, with sculptural forms and refined materials. The lot comprises 4 matching chairs, ideal as a dining set, for a study, or a reception area.
