Sarough Mir - Rug - 249 cm - 151 cm

This handwoven Indo-Mir rug is characterized by its dense, uniformly constructed allover pattern and its clear, high-contrast color scheme. The dark inner field is completely filled with small, regularly recurring stylized motifs arranged in diagonal rows. This creates a very calm, rhythmic, yet detailed overall impression. The base field appears in a very dark blue. Against it, the small motifs in red, rust red, beige, and cream stand out clearly. The wide surrounding border is in warm red and rust tones and features a more geometrically influenced pattern that clearly frames the dark central field. Narrow side borders with small repeating elements provide an additional clean finish. Typical of the Mir look is especially the even, fine-pattern distribution without a dominant central medallion. Due to its large size of 248 × 152 cm, the rug looks very present despite its delicate pattern and is particularly suitable for living, dining, or work areas.
