Sarah Rakes is a self-taught artist known for her vibrant, intricately patterned paintings inspired by nature. Born in Bentonville, Arkansas, she developed an interest in art at age eight after visiting the Nelson Rockefeller Artmobile. Now based in the mountains of North Georgia, Rakes draws inspiration from her rural surroundings, incorporating plants, animals, and bold colors into her imaginative compositions. Her distinctive painted frames are an integral part of her work. Rakes has exhibited through galleries across the United States, and her paintings are represented in numerous private and corporate collections. Good estate condition.
