atural Blue Sapphire Crystal with Muscovite Matrix – Badakhshan, Afghanistan This impressive natural Blue Sapphire specimen from the Badakhshan mines of Afghanistan has a total weight of 273 grams and measures approximately 79 × 74 × 31 mm. The specimen features a prominent large parent Sapphire crystal naturally grown through the hard Muscovite matrix, extending from the upper part toward the lower section of the specimen. In addition to the main crystal, several smaller Blue Sapphire crystals can be seen distributed across the matrix. The Sapphire crystals display a natural blue colour and natural crystal formations. The combination of the elongated main crystal, numerous smaller Sapphire crystals, and the contrasting Muscovite matrix gives the specimen a particularly interesting and distinctive structure. The specimen is self-standable, making it convenient for cabinet display. The natural arrangement of the Sapphire crystals across the matrix makes this a notable piece for collectors of Sapphire and Afghan minerals.
