San Polo, Venezia - Otello Rosa - Coat rack - Porcelain

Coat rack depicting four Venetian masks in ceramic, hand-painted with 22-carat gold finishes, by Otello Rosa for the Venetian workshop San Polo in the 1950s. Each ceramic piece measures 21x21x9 cm, and they are mounted on a single wooden board with proper hooks for hanging. The condition is excellent. On the back they bear the inscription “San Polo Venezia Italy” and Otello’s signature, but at the moment they are attached to the wood and cannot be photographed. Otello Rosa, born in Venice in 1920, attended the Institute of Art and the Academy of Fine Arts and in the following years won numerous awards in the Veneto area in painting, decoration, and ceramics. Between 1947 and 1959 he was artistic director at “Ceramiche S.Polo” in Venice, and in 1954 he exhibited some ceramic works, unique pieces, at the Biennale. Many of his works are appreciated and purchased worldwide because they are unique pieces of high quality. The measurements are in the attached photos.
