Recommended price: € 399,- The Samyang AF 12mm F2 X, the first Samyang autofocus ultra-wide prime with a fixed focal length, designed for Fujifilm X-mount APS-C cameras. This autofocus prime has a field of view equivalent to that of an 18mm lens on a full-frame camera. It is therefore very suitable for photographers who shoot landscapes, astro, or architecture. By delivering high resolution across the entire image, it provides excellent image quality not only in expansive landscapes but also indoors. The large maximum aperture of F/2.0 yields sharper results, even in low light. The optical system with 5 special lenses (1 H-ASP, 1 ASP, 3 ED) in a total of 12 elements in 10 groups renders the full image field with high sharpness, even at the maximum aperture. Optical aberration is effectively corrected by using three low-dispersion (ED) lenses and two high-refractive-index (H-ASP, ASP) lenses. The front lens is also protected by a special 14-layer coating that effectively suppresses flare, even with a small hood. The Samyang AF 12mm F2 X is compact and lightweight, making it perfect for the small and light FUJIFILM X-series cameras. Because of these properties, the AF 12mm is also very well suited to be paired with a gimbal. The matte finish and the new red design of the ring give it a modern look, and the rubber focus ring with a micro-pattern makes it easy to operate. The minimum focusing distance is only 20 centimeters, and the lens is equipped with quiet and fast autofocus. The lens is well protected against various weather and use conditions thanks to weather-sealed seals and protective glass at the rear.
