Bas-relief composed of small and precious faces. It is a unique work of its kind because every tile has been painted and inserted manually onto a wooden support. The materials used are gypsum plaster (resin) and acrylic paints, all of excellent quality, ideal for furnishing contemporary environments. The artwork consists of a grid arrangement of small colored tiles, each characterized by a subtle and abstract facial imprint. The repetition of the motif within the grid suggests themes of identity, diversity, and unity. The textured surface adds depth and invites tactile exploration, while the overall structure evokes a sense of order and rhythm. This artwork could explore the intersection between individuality and collectivity through the lens of abstract portraiture. The use of color is particularly striking, emphasizing both contrast and cohesion. The piece could be seen as a commentary on how faces, while unique, are part of a larger mosaic of human experience. It invites viewers to reflect on the diversity of expression and emotion within a seemingly uniform scheme. Salvatore Alibrio, born 1991, is an artist who has developed significant sculptural research, participating in exhibitions and symposia, including those promoted by the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania. His practice explores artistic language through an iconographic vocabulary that merges tradition and experimentation. He uses materials such as stone, marble, clay, and resin, revealing a deep connection with his cultural roots. His work addresses contemporary social issues, often reflecting on current tragedies. Alibrio reinterprets the recognizable through a logic of fragmentation, stimulating critical reflection. His mastery of materials and rigorous approach contribute to developing an autonomous artistic language, capable of expressing tension and strength. The work will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and will be shipped in a rigid outer packaging.
