Saint Benedict and Saint Anthony Signet Ring – Exorcism...

Saint Benoît and Saint Antoine Signet – Exorcism and Protection Against Evil. This signet unites the Medal of Saint Benedict, the famous symbol of exorcism and protection, with the sacred words of the Brief of Saint Anthony of Padua, bringing together on a single insignia two great Christian traditions of deliverance from Evil. On the solitary heights of Monte Cassino, in the 6th century, Saint Benedict of Nursia founded Western monastic life and raised a spiritual rampart against the disorders of his time. A man of contemplation and prayer, the holy patriarch opposed the sign of the Holy Cross to the snare of the demon and to the poisons of adversity, making his order a spiritual fortress devoted to the triumph of divine peace. At his side in sacred history stands the great western thaumaturge, Saint Anthony of Padua. Doctor of the Church and fiery-voiced preacher, the Franciscan saint roamed 13th-century Europe to aid the afflicted and deliver souls besieged by doubt and despair. From his zeal for protection was born the famous Brief of Saint Anthony, this formula of deliverance proclaiming the victory of faith over all the world's obscurities. This signet brings together these two giants of Christendom on a single protective insignia. At the heart of this alliance lies the famous Medal of Saint Benedict, bearing the formulas of the Holy Cross and the powerful “Vade Retro Satana,” paired with the sacred words of Saint Anthony proclaiming the triumph of the Lion of Judah. This union gathers the authority of monastic silence and the fervor of the great miracle worker in a spiritual guard of exceptional intensity. Wearing this jewel on your hand means taking shelter behind the dual authority of the two most famous protectors of the Church: a constant presence to repel harmful influences, to soothe fears, and to walk with the steadfast spirit of those who rely on centuries of prayers. Strong protection. Size: 62 1/2, 23, 10 1/4. Height: 1.7 cm. Outer width: 2.4 cm. Total length: 2.5 cm. Ornate gold-and-silver metal. 16.3 g. A beautiful, dense work, very pleasant to wear. History & Secrets of the Symbol: The Medal of Saint Benedict: The Universal Seal of Exorcism Officially solemnized by Pope Benedict XIV in 1742 after the discovery of the ancient manuscripts of the Metten Abbey in Bavaria, the Medal of Saint Benedict is the Church's major spiritual weapon. It is traditionally worn to break curses, disarm occult snares, and preserve the integrity of the person and the home. The Complete Deciphering of the Letters of Saint Benedict Each letter engraved on the cross corresponds to a Latin invocation of authority: PAX: The Benedictine order’s motto, proclaiming the victory of divine peace over disorder. C S P B (in the four corners of the cross): Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti – Cross of Saint Father Benedict. C S S M L (on the vertical stem): Crux Sacra Sit Mihi Lux – May the Holy Cross be my light. N D S M D (on the crossbar): Non Draco Sit Mihi Dux – Let not the demon be my guide. V R S N S M V (around the right border): Vade Retro Satana, Non Suade Mihi Vana – Begone Satan, do not tempt me with your vanities. S M Q L I V B (around the left border): Sunt Mala Quæ Libas, Ipse Venena Bibas – What you offer is evil; drink your own poisons. The Brief of Saint Anthony: The Lisbon Miracle and the Vatican Etched into the four cantons surrounding the cross, the formulas Ecce Crucem Domini, Fugite Partes Adversae, and Vicit Leo De Tribu Juda recall the famous Deliverance Brief entrusted by Saint Anthony to Lisbon in the 13th century. Faced with the power of this miracle that freed a woman from the darkest torments, the formula was incorporated into the jewels of Portugal’s crown, before Pope Sixtus V had it engraved at the base of the great obelisk in St. Peter’s Square, Rome. The Double Spiritual Guard: Faith Carried in the Hand Bringing together on a single insignia the exorcism cross of Saint Benedict and the triumphant sentence of Saint Anthony gives the gesture a reassuring defensive presence. In sacred tradition, bearing these protective formulas helps maintain exemplary calm, dissolves anxieties, and preserves inner peace in the face of every obstacle of life. The photos were taken under LED lighting with dedicated photographic equipment to reproduce the details, reliefs, and nuances of the object with precision.
