Sagrasse (1966) - Sweet box

Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in skilled craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of the Marche region, specializing at the highest levels in resin work, painting, and chroming. The turning point in his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had kept inside for so long. What for decades had been "only" an exemplary technique thus becomes the means to bring to life modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent. Title - Sweet box Technique: resin and marble powder Dimensions: 30x32x16 cm Condition: new Certificate of authenticity - handwritten signature Edition: limited edition 499 ex - gold and red The work will be carefully packed and shipped by courier with tracking. In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious art exhibitions. Among these are the presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition "Arte Venezia" in 2025, collaboration with the Center for Art and Culture VERUM, and the inclusion of his works in the renowned Private Collection Fuser. From craftsman to signature of the Neo-Pop scene, Sagrasse demonstrates how a lifelong experience can transform into pure and recognized artistic expression. Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has liberated the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colored mirrors reflecting our society: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern. Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly within the path of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the comparison to Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret everyday icons or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski. The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation. It is a artisanal work, conceived and produced entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of completely manual workmanship. It is advised not to expose to heat sources; clean with a soft cloth only, without detergents.
