Sagrasse (1966) - Manna

Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he has worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin work, painting, and chroming. The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and suspension of time transform into an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his know-how as an artisan into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one's most authentic talent. Title - Manna resin - Hand-signed 2021 Technique: resin Dimensions: 38x38x10 cm Condition: new. Certificate of authenticity - hand-signed. Edition: limited edition 100 ex. Gold and metal gun The work will be carefully packaged and shipped with tracking courier. In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these, notable is the presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition “Arte Venezia” in 2025, the collaboration with the Center for Art and Culture VERUM, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Private Collection Fuser. From craftsman to signature of the Neo-Pop panorama, Sagrasse shows how a lifetime of experience can transform into pure and recognized artistic expression. Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern. Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly in the path of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the comparison to Banksy is evident for the strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret everyday icons or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski. The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation. It is a hand-crafted work, conceived and entirely produced in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are a natural feature of the entirely manual workmanship. It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean with no detergents, but only a soft cloth."
