Sagrasse (1966) - Fuck Death Gold

Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life roots itself in artisanal craft. For forty years he worked in the shadow of his shop in a small town among the hills of the Marche region, mastering at the highest levels the processing of resin, painting, and chroming. The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always guarded. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent. Title - Fuck Death Technique: resin Dimensions: 52x14x14 Condition: new. Certificate of authenticity - hand-signed Edition: limited edition 499ex - Death Gold The artwork will be carefully packaged and shipped by courier with tracking. In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. These include a presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition “Arte Venezia” in 2025, collaboration with the VERUM Center for Art and Culture, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Fuser Private Collection. From craftsman to signature of the Neo-Pop scene, Sagrasse shows how a life’s experience can transform into pure and recognized artistic expression. Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master artisan who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colored mirrors in which our society reflects: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern. Sagrasse’s work sits squarely in the vein of New Pop Art and Urban Art. If the association with Banksy is evident for the strong satirical charge, the irony, and the ability to reinterpret everyday icons or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski. The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation. It is a handmade work, conceived and produced entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of entirely manual workmanship. It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean with a soft cloth only, without using detergents.
