Sagrasse (1966) - Banana Satisfaction

Sagrasse (1966) - Banana Satisfaction

Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal mastery. For forty years he worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small town among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin work, varnishing, and chrome plating. The turning point in his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been "just" a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent. Title - Banana Satisfaction Hand-signed 2022 Resin and marble dust technique Dimensions 26x26x6 Condition: new. Certificate of authenticity – hand-signed. Edition: limited edition 999ex - yellow and silver The work will be carefully packaged and shipped with a tracking courier. In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious reviews. Among these, notable is the presence at the Contemporary Art Review "Arte Venezia" in 2025, the collaboration with the Center for Art and Culture VERUM, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Private Collection Fuser. From craftsman to signature of the Neo-Pop panorama, Sagrasse demonstrates how a lifetime of experience can transform into pure and recognized artistic expression. Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern. Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly in the wake of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the association with Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret everyday icons or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski. The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation. It is a handmade work, conceived and fully produced in Italy. Small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of entirely manual workmanship. It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean with only a soft cloth, without detergents.
