Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life is rooted in artisanal mastery. For forty years he has worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of the Marche region, specializing at the highest levels in resin work, painting, and chrome plating. The turning point in his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern pop sculptures, vibrant and ironic.
