The representation, particularly expressive, is worked in high relief. The face of Christ occupies the entire upper part of the ring: long hair, finely drawn beard and features of the face deeply modeled give the piece a striking presence. The Crown of Thorns unfolds across the forehead and extends into the reliefs surrounding the face. The eyes are emphasized by two small shimmering elements, creating two bright points that accentuate the intensity of the gaze. The various surfaces alternate between polished and shiny areas and slightly textured recessed parts, allowing light to reveal the many details of the sculpture.
