Winding mechanism is fine Clock made around 1960...65 years old ...super beautiful For the collector or avid chess players or draughts players...completes the game completely The tradition of Ruhla clockwork production goes back to 1890, the year in which the first clockwork were built by Gebroeders Thiele - Uhren und Maschienfabrik - Ruhla The Gardé chess clocks were first seen at the Chess Olympiad in Leipzig in 1960 and since then have also been the official competition clock at the world championships, including Karpov – Kasparov up to the PCA match between Kasparov and Short in 1993 in London - After this, the digital clock made its debut on the World Championship podium.
