Splendid Rough Ruby from Myanmar (Burma) - 220.60 ct (Untreated) In the auction, an exceptional and imposing specimen of rough ruby from the renowned Myanmar mines (formerly Burma), the geographic cradle of the world's most precious rubies. This extraordinary crystal stands out for a remarkably large carat weight of 220.60 carats (44.07 grams) and features the characteristic hexagonal shape typical of corundum. The color is a vibrant pink-red that acquires extraordinary radiance and fluorescence when backlit (as visible in the photos). On the surface there are fascinating natural inclusions and small spots of black matrix that certify its authenticity and geological growth. The gem is completely natural and untreated, a very rare feature for crystals of this size, which greatly increases its collectible value and interest for investors or jewelry artisans.
