All auctions / Glass / Royal Doulton by Charles Noke and Fred Moore Flambe Sung Floral Vase

This vase is potted and finished in an oxblood Flambe glaze, produced through a high-temperature reduction firing process that creates a red ground. The surface includes a glossy overlay that increases tonal variation within the glaze. Decorated in deep cobalt-blue pigment, the vase features a hand-painted floral motif of bell-shaped, drooping blossoms, executed with controlled brushwork and shading. The blue decoration contrasts with the red ground and reflects Sung-inspired design elements. Produced under the direction of Charles Noke and Fred Moore, associated with Royal Doulton's Flambe production. Underside marked Royal Doulton Flambe.
